| What does VirtualVideoDeck come with? |
|
The VVDeck package includes 1 installation CD-ROM, a copy protection key and a manual set in electronic PDF format. Aditionally it can also include a RS422 card for PC, a ShuttlePro USB device and one STRADIS decoder card. |
| What are the PC requirements for VVDeck? |

VVDeck supports two operation modes for video playback. It can use the standard DirectX graphics cards or supported decoder cards. DirectX mode minimum requirements:

| When launching VideoDeck an error message "Código de error del API Hardlock " appears. |

This message tells you that the Hardlock dongle has not been found. Check if the dongle is properly inserted in the parallel port and the Hardlock driver is installed. Use the "hldrv32.exe" file to install the Hardlock driver. |
| What are the pinouts for the RS422 cable used with VVD in the PC computer? |

Since the PC cards or 9-pin adaptors has not usually the standard cabling, the required 9-pin cable pinouts changes depending on the RS422 card and VVDeck mode (Slave/Device or Master/Controller) you are using in your configuration. Contact us to get the specifical pinouts for your configuration. |

| How do I sync the Fairlight MFX slaved to VirtualVideoDeck RS422? |

Set the MFX3plus as 9-pin slave (9P REM) for M1 or M2. Connect the 422 cable properly to the 422 slave connector (9 pin) at the rear of the MFX and assure that the M key in the MFX console is ON to activate the 9-pin communication. |
| How do I get the "factory" configuration settings? |
|
Quit VVD. Locate the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZIO\Virtual Video Deck" at the Windows Registry and delete it. Now re-start the VVD program to get the factory settings again. |
| ShuttlePRO - How do I make the VirtualVideoDeck setting the 'Default setting' for the ShuttlePro when the application or program starts up? |

The Default Setting for an application is determined alphabetically. If you want a setting to load as the primary or default setting in an application, change the name of that setting using the 'Rename Settings' option in the Contour ShuttlePRO Control Panel, to be the first alphabetically. NOTE: When you open the ShuttlePRO control panel, the software will always load 'Global Settings' as the default setting in the Target Application. There is not way to modify or change this functionality. Visit the Contour WEB site for more ShuttlePRO support. |
