DaDView is Fairlight's visual interface for the DaDplus Digital Audio Dubber. Running on a Windows PC, DaDView has moving track displays for up to 192 tracks of dynamic networked audio information from multiple playback systems in multiple file formats. DaDView will display up to eight 24-track scrolling windows of fully-commented information on one or several monitors.

Best of all, you can configure all aspects of DaDView and build your own "virtual" tracking windows so you choose what you see and work the way you want to. DaDView can also be used to provide print-outs of cue sheets and other system information.

DaDView - see the sound

DaDView is a Windows 98, 2000 and XP -based software package designed to provide visual and dynamical representation of the audio being played on the Fairlight Digital Audio Dubbers conforming a DaD Network by monitorizing the whole components including Dubbers, Disks, Projects, Tracks, Clips, etc. Clips comprising the different tracks scrolls on the screen emulating the MFX performance as labeled rectangles with information including Clips name, Head and Tail timecode position, Duration, Fades, Comments and Track names.

DaDView displays up to 24 Dubbers (576 tracks) simultaneously by polling data directly from the DaD Network or importing DL files and combines the data for the projects in different ways and, if necessary, the AD-Dub files to include characters and text of the dialogues for the film in progress. DaDView can output printouts of the Clips on Tracks and the complete Network settings, no matter the original source format of the played audio is (Fairlight MFX3, AKAI, ProTools, etc.).

DaDView works with Logical DaDs and Virtual DaDs which are a number of windows showing a composite view of different tracks for different Dubbers and Projects as desired. Up to eight Virtual DaDs can be opened at a time and every physical DaD can be selected to show the relevant information. These windows displays all the data and information as desired to have complete overview on what is happening in the DaD Network. Screens configuration of DaDView can be user defined to fit virtually any requirement in terms of tracks and Dubbers on the screen, colours, displayed data, windows, etc. A number of different configurations can be saved for a later recall.
